The generator exports the GARAN label in five formats. Each has one job. This guide tells you which file to use on your product page, on a marketplace, in an email and in print, and what the file names mean.
Key point: SVG or PNG for your own site, PNG or JPG for marketplaces, the full colour label for emails, and the CMYK PDF at 95 × 100 mm for anything printed.

SVG for your own site
SVG is a vector format. It stays sharp at any size and is small. Use it on your own product pages if your shop system accepts SVG images. It is also the right input for a designer who lays out a banner or a printed piece and needs the label as an editable object.
Do not edit the SVG beyond placing it. The fixed elements, colours and proportions must stay unchanged.
PNG, JPG and WebP for marketplaces and shops
Raster formats are exported at 1200 px wide, a safe default for product galleries and marketplace listings. There is no size selector; if a platform needs a different size, scale the SVG in your image tool.
- PNG: lossless, white background, best quality. Use it wherever it is accepted.
- JPG: universal, no transparency. Use it for marketplaces that reject PNG.
- WebP: smaller than PNG at the same quality. Use it on your own site if your shop system serves WebP.
All raster files are in RGB colour, which is what the Commission’s guidelines prescribe for digital display. Online, the colour label is mandatory; see GARAN label online.
The nested strip
The nested strip is exported in the same web formats. Use it only on your own site, and only if the strip expands to the full label on the first click, roll-over or touch. Marketplaces and emails cannot do that, so use the full label there. The strip is never exported as PDF because it must not be printed.
PDF for print
The PDF is a vector file at exactly 95 × 100 mm, the minimum size in physical shops, with CMYK colours from Annex II of Regulation (EU) 2025/1960. Hand it to your packaging designer or print shop as it is. It can be scaled up, as long as the whole label scales proportionally.
The QR code in the PDF is 2 × 2 cm or larger at the minimum size. Test it after printing; see GARAN label in print and in store.
The generator produces the colour version only. For black-and-white print, use the official Commission files.
File naming
Every exported file is named from the three editable fields: brand, model identifier and duration, followed by the variant and the extension. The same input always produces the same file name, on every device. In batch mode this lets you match files in the ZIP to rows in your spreadsheet by name.
Special characters in brand or model names are simplified in the file name; the label itself shows them unchanged.
FAQ
Which format do I send to my supplier or agency?
Send the SVG for digital work and the PDF for print. Both are vector files and carry the exact colours.
Can I get a higher resolution than 1200 px?
Not from the generator. Export the SVG and rasterise it at the size you need in your image tool, keeping the proportions.
Does the PDF contain the fonts?
It does not need them. The brand, model and duration are converted to vector outlines of the Inter typeface, so the PDF prints identically everywhere without installing fonts.
