Harmonised notice on the legal guarantee of conformity
Alongside the GARAN label, Regulation (EU) 2025/1960 defines a second harmonised element: the notice on the legal guarantee of conformity. It reminds consumers that goods come with a legal guarantee of at least two years under EU law, possibly longer under national law, and what remedies they have.
Unlike the label, the notice is mandatory for every trader selling goods to consumers, whether or not any producer offers a guarantee of durability. It is displayed at shop level, not per product. Nothing in it can be edited, so there is nothing to generate.
Download the official notice
Choose your language and download the Commission's original file. PDF in colour or black and white is intended for print at A4 or larger; SVG and PNG are for digital use or your own print workflow.

Files are unmodified copies published by the European Commission, Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers. You can also download them from the Commission's page on the notice and label.
Where to display it
- Physical shop: printed in colour or black and white, at least A4, in a prominent place such as the entrance, a wall or aisle poster, or the checkout counter. Use A3 to A1 for longer viewing distances.
- Online shop: the colour RGB version, legible at default size, reachable from a clearly worded link such as "Your legal guarantee rights" in the header, on product pages or at checkout. Add a clickable link to the same page as the QR code.
- Confirmation email: include the notice in the order confirmation together with the other contract information. Details: where to display the legal guarantee notice.
